The concert, which is likely to take place in June, would be the band’s fifth performance in Poland, the Dziennik.pl online daily reported.

The first two gigs, held at Warsaw’s Kongresowa Hall in 1967, went down in history as one of the greatest rock music events in communist Poland.

Thirty-one years later the band returned to the country to give a concert at the Silesian Stadium in the southern city of Chorzów. Their latest show was at Warsaw’s Służewiec Horse Racetrack in 2007.

The Rolling Stones’ latest releases include the blues album Blue & Lonesome and On Air, an album featuring concert recordings from the early stages of the band’s career.
