Nearly 60 Polish produced and co-produced fiction and non-fiction films, all of which were released last year, will be screened during the festival.

As well as viewing the movies, festival-goers will have the opportunity to meet with film-makers behind a number of productions including Piotr Domalewski’s “Silent Night” (Cicha Noc), which won the main prize at the last Gdynia Film Festival, Agnieszka Holland’s Oscar-nominated “Spoor” (Pokot), Andrzej Wajda’s “Afterimage” (Powidoki), and the Golden Globe-nominated animation “Your Vincent” (Twój Vincent).

Nominations for the 20th Eagles will be announced on 7 February, and awards will be handed out during a ceremony on 26 March.

The film festival closes on 31 January. (vb)
