Top musicians are to take part in a festival in the southern Polish city of Kraków named after popular singer Zbigniew Wodecki, who died last year, organisers have said.

The Wodecki Twist Festival will take place on June 8 and 9.
Festival director Katarzyna Wodecka-Stubbs, Wodecki’s daughter, said: “The whole event has been inspired by my dad’s creative output as a composer”.
“But his music will be only one of the elements of the festival, along with alternative and instrumental music,” she added.
One of the aims of the festival will be to promote young, talented singers and composers.
Wodecki was a singer, composer, arranger, violinist and trumpeter, and had many hits. He enjoyed enormous popularity with fans spanning several generations. He died in a Warsaw hospital last May after a stroke.
