Sting and Shaggy sat down with Radio Poland’s Danuta Isler ahead of the Warsaw concert to talk about their unexpected team-up.

According to media reports, the duo first partnered up last year during Shaggy’s session at Los Angeles-based studio The Village, which was being produced by Martin Kierszenbaum.

Kierszenbaum, Sting’s current manager and formerly Shaggy’s artists and repertoire representative, had reportedly sent the British star a working version of Don’t make me Wait.

Sting took to the song, immediately leaving his Malibu home to surprise Shaggy at the LA recording studio.

Polish Radio is a media partner of the album, which has been named after the international dialling codes for the UK and Jamaica. The album is due for international release on April 20.

Sting and Shaggy are scheduled to perform at London’s Royal Albert Hall on April 21 during a concert celebrating the 92nd birthday of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II. (di,vb)
