The concert will feature the London-based Pasadena Roof Orchestra and the Puppini Sisters, performing together for the first time in Poland.

The-11 strong Pasadena Roof Orchestra has a 40-year history playing swing and dance music from the 1920s and 30s.

The British Puppini Sisters are a musical trio who harmonise as they sing 1930s and 40s swing music as well as their own pieces.

Wednesday's concert will also feature well-known tracks from Polish and foreign films that were composed by Kilar, including part of his award-winning score to Francis Ford Coppola's 1992 picture Bram Stoker's Dracula.

The concert, called Spring, will be the third in a series which was launched late last year.

The concerts, held every three months, aim to promote the Polish Radio Orchestra as well as the best of Polish and world music. (vb/pk)
