Hearing-impaired musicians perform in Warsaw

Thirty musicians from around the world took part in vocal and instrumental workshops as part of the festival, which started on Monday, with the best among them selected to perform at the gala at Sinfonia Varsovia’s concert hall.

All performers have cochlear implants, said acclaimed hearing specialist Prof. Henryk Skarżyński.

“We will hear fantastic artists, new interpretations. It shows the richness of the world of music, as well as the fact that a hearing-impaired person … can be a true artist,” Skarżyński added.
