The tour will open with a showcase at the second London Design Biennale on September 4, as the Adam Mickiewicz Institute continues to promote Polish design abroad, the institute's head, Krzysztof Olendzki said.

“On the one hand we are working towards boosting the presence of [Polish] designers on global cultural markets, on the other, we are expanding our presence in Central Europe,” Olendzki said.

“Our aim is to inspire foreign designers and curators to welcome Polish art so that it is omnipresent and portrays [Poland],” he added.

Poland will be an honorary guest at the Vienna Design Week in late September and early October, while exhibitions of Polish design will also be showcased at Budapest Design Week and the Spiral Gallery in Tokyo.
