Joined by Dariusz “Oleś” Oleszkiewicz on bass and Tina Baymond on drums, Stankiewicz is expected to present a programme entitled “The Legacy of Polish Music Abroad at Three Glances.”

The motto of the event—“Love Will Forgive You Anything”—refers to the title of a pre-World War II Polish hit by Henryk Wars.

The concert also includes music by two other prewar Polish-born composers, Victor Young and Bronisław Kaper.

All three enjoyed enormous popularity in prewar Poland and developed fine careers in Hollywood after the war.

Stankiewicz is among Poland’s leading jazz pianists.
