Swedish writers at book fair in Kraków

The 22nd International Book Fair has been launched in the southern Polish city of Kraków, with a special focus on Swedish literature.

During the official opening of the event, Sweden's ambassador to Poland, Stefan Gullgren, said that Swedish literature has been popular in Poland for years.

Swedish authors including Asa Lind, Martin Widmark and Herman Lindqvist were expected to attend the Kraków book fest.

Exhibitors from 19 other countries, including Austria, Georgia, Spain, France, Germany, Romania, Slovakia, Britain, Italy, Ukraine and the United States, are also attending the fair.

The event opened on Thursday and runs until Sunday.
