British musician Ken Burton makes Warsaw debut

Acclaimed British choirmaster Ken Burton is set to make his debut concert appearance in Warsaw with a choir made up of participants in his gospel workshops at Polish Radio's concert hall on Sunday.

Burton is set to sing gospel music along with his 140-strong choir, which started workshops with the choirmaster on Friday, and he has invited his audience to join in the singing as well.

Burton's concerts attract thousands of gospel fans.

He has performed for the British queen, worked with Beyonce and Robbie Williams and composed music for Steven Spielberg.

He has taken the stage at London's Royal Albert Hall, the Sydney Opera House, and the Metropolitan Opera House in New York.

In Poland, he has performed at the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in the southern Polish city of Katowice and at the Sacrum in Musica festival in Bielsko-Biała, also in Poland's south, each time to a full house. (vb)
