Voiceover artist Janusz Kozioł, who worked on a slew of hit films and TV productions screened in Poland, has died at the age of 69, according to reports.

Polish television viewers heard his voice when watching movies such as Pulp Fiction, The Blues Brothers and Apocalypse Now as well as TV series and commercials.

Instead of being dubbed or subtitled, English-language films shown on television in Poland commonly have dialogue that has been translated into Polish and read out by a narrator whom viewers do not see on screen.

Kozioł began working as an announcer on public broadcaster Polish Radio in 1973. From the 1980s he worked for a range of television stations.
