Samples of the alcohol are being tested to check if this is bootleg spirit which has caused the worst wave of methanol poisoning in the Czech Republic in several decades.

The Czech government banned the sale of spirits with more than 20 percent alcohol content last week after methanol poisoning killed 19 people.

Kiosks and markets had earlier been banned from selling spirits with more than 30 percent alcohol content. (mk/pg)
