None of the 179 passengers on the Czech Travel Service airline flight was injured during the landing.
Work is ongoing to remove the Boeing plane, which had flown from the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh.
“The airport will be closed until 1 pm, and there is a big chance that the work will be completed by then,” said airport spokesman Cezary Orzech this morning in an interview with the TVN24 news channel.
Some of this morning's flights were cancelled outright, but the majority are being diverted to Krakow's Balice Airport. (nh)
