For the first time, the fair was held at the capital's new National Stadium.
“The 4th Warsaw Book Fair was a big success, and we're already garnering very positive feedback from participants in the event,” said Jacek Oryl, co-organiser of the fair, in an interview with the Polish Press Agency (PAP).
“The stadium passed the test, although logistically, it was a considerably more complicated task than organising a football match,” he added.
The organisers hope to return to the stadium in 2014.
Last year, when the event was held at the Palace of Culture and Science, just over 40,000 attended.
The 2013 edition welcomed close to 500 authors, while over 500,000 publishing houses, both Polish and international, exhibited at the fair. (nh)
