The investment is a joint venture with American construction magnate Larry Silverstein, under the auspices of the pair's eponymous company Kulczyk Silverstein Properties (KSP).

The building on the capital's Three Crosses Square (Plac Trzech Krzyzy) was purchased earlier this year for about 50 million euro, and the company is currently waiting for planning permission to revamp the site.

“We are already getting inquiries from potential clients,” KSP's Edgar Rosenmayr told the Puls Biznesu daily.

Rosenmayr said that the venue, which will be called Ethos, is intended to provide a home for “the most luxurious brands, including some which have yet to make their debut on the Polish market.”

Jan Kulczyk, Poland's wealthiest man, launched his business career in 1988 as Poland's sole dealer of Volkswagen and Audi cars.

Besides his global investments in oil and gas, Kulczyk has recently expanded his interests to include green energy. (nh)
