Some 384,000 passengers flew to or from Krakow with the German air carrier in 2013, and more frequent flights this year by the airline and its subsidiaries should increase available tickets by 21 percent.

Among the changes will be additional flights to Frankfurt starting this April, with the rate increasing to four flights per day to the German city.

Meanwhile, Austrian Airlines, which is currently a part of the Lufthansa Group, will offer evening flights to Vienna from Krakow as of 30 March.

The Lufthansa Group also has a 45 percent stake in Brussels Airlines, and as of the middle of June, the airline will return to Krakow, with four flights per day to the Belgian capital.

Besides Frankfurt, the most popular of Lufthansa's Krakow connections are with Munich, New York, Chicago, Shanghai and Hong Kong. (nh)
