German Leopard tanks arrive in Poland

Fifty Leopard tanks Poland has purchased from Germany arrived at the Zagan military base on Friday.

The deal for the 105 Leopard 2A5 main battle tanks and 14 Leopard 2A4 wa signed between German and Polish defence ministers last November.

The 34th Armoured Cavalry Brigade accepted the consignment, which arrived at the base via train and is part of the currently wave of modernization being made to Poland's armed forces. (pg)
