The firms will focus on software needed to conduct training and tactic simulations.

The companies have also agreed to cooperate in expanding their exports potential.

“The initiatives undertaken by WB Electronics together with Raytheon are proof of a great will to cooperate between Polish and American companies in creating the 'Wisła' system, based on the latest version of the air-raid and antimissile Patriot system,” said Piotr Wojciechowski, CEO of WB Electronics.

The CEO declared that WB Electronics would like be engaged in the “Shield of Poland” programme.

The “Shield of Poland” is a programme of the Polish Ministry of Defence, seen as one of the most important activities in the area. It will involve some of the biggest contracts to be signed by the ministry, worth up to 26.6 billion zloty (some 6.4 billion euro). (kw/pg)
