Poles to spend around 500 zloty this Christmas

The average Polish consumer will spend 486.54 zloty this Christmas season.

Among those polled by discount site Groupon, 22 percent planned to spend 200-299 zloty (50-70 euro) on presents this year, while an equal segment of 1.5 percent planned to gift less than 50 zloty and more than 2,000 zloty.
Just 1.3 percent of those polled in Poland planned to give handmade gifts this year.
Groupon conducted its poll in 11 countries and Poland fit comfortably in the average for Central and Eastern Europe, daily Puls Biznesu reports.
Britons are the most generous among those polled with an average gift of 518 pounds (around 2,700 zloty). (rg/jb)
