Poland’s average wage rose at an annual pace of 2.7 percent in November, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Tuesday.

Wage growth fell short of analyst expectations of a roughly flat pace of expansion from previous month’s 3.8 percent.

The average wage broke the barrier of PLN 4,000 (EUR 950) per month for the first time ever in November after rising 0.6% on the previous month to PLN 4.004.80, GUS said in a press release.

Non-farm employment rose 0.9% on a year earlier and 0.1% month on month to 5.551 million. Payrolls rose in line with analyst expectations.

The addition of 6,200 jobs in November was the highest monthly figure since 2007. (an)
