Poland’s 600,000-strong contingent of Swiss franc mortgage borrowers is made up mostly of urban graduates in their 30s and 40s, a report finds.
Two-thirds of Swiss franc borrowers belong to the so-called X generation of people born between 1967 and 1981, the Credit Information Bureau (BIK) said in a report.
These people also account for 72 percent of the Swiss franc-denominated debt by value.
Most of these people live in the big cities. In the largest agglomerations, such as Warsaw or Wrocław, some 9 percent of the adult population have Swiss franc debt. (an)
