The figure is based on exports in US dollars and takes inflation into account, with the report also foreseeing Poland’s exports growing by an additional 35.6 percent by 2020.

“There are currently 60,000 companies operating in Poland which obtain revenue from exports, and according to the GUS [Central Statistical Office], Polish goods were sold in 218 countries worldwide in 2014,” the report writes, adding that Polish exports even reached far-flung destinations such as Equitorial Guinea or Kiribati.

The publication of the report coincides with a business forum hosted by Grant Thornton which is to bring together public and private business leaders. (jb)
