“As President, I travel all over the world, meeting fellow presidents, and experiencing a variety of situations. But I also meet Polish ambassadors. And I have to tell you – with the sincerest respect to all the ambassadors – that I am deeply convinced that the best ambassador for Poland is its economic success. Also people who represent these successes, are the best visiting card of the country. It is a real pleasure to travel and hear such compliments about Poland and Poland's economic performance,” President Komorowski said.

“I think we all experience deep satisfaction with the unprecedented changes which have come out of our hard work, […] and I think that it is to these people, who created this new reality, and also to all those who make use of it today, to whom the Jan Wejchert prize is dedicated,” the Head of State added.

Awards

During the gala, which took place in Warsaw, three prizes were handed out by the Polish Business Roundtable. They are awarded in three categories: success, vision and innovation, as well as social activities.

In the category of “Success”, the prize went to Jaroslaw Józefowicz, the head of TZMO, a company which produces medical and hygienic products. The Jury appreciated Józefowicz's determination to take direct and accurate business decisions.

The prize for "Vision and Innovation" was collected by Peter Voelkel, the creator of furniture manufacturer Vox group, while the award for "social activities" was handed to Jarosław Kuba, head of the Balt association, and who for many years has provided social support to the Świętokrzyskie province.
