Data by internet statistics agency Megapanel PBI / Gemius showed that in March, the Aliexpress.com service had 2.3 million users in Poland – 11 percent of all internet traffic in the country, the Rzeczpospolita daily said.

This is not the end of the Chinese expansion. The service’s main address, Alibaba.com, already has 1.5 million users in Poland.

This number will certainly rise, the daily writes, as the service becomes better known in the West, like US-based e-retail giants eBay and Amazon.

Alibaba is a Chinese Internet giant. The market value of the company is estimated at USD 250 billion. That's more than eBay and Amazon combined.

In China, Alibaba is responsible for 80 percent of online sales. (rg)
