Terminal A now comprises seven storeys, with 1,300 rooms, and 48 check-in desks are available.
“All these changes increase passengers' comfort as well as the airport capacity, which over the next 15 years could reach the level of more than 20 million people a year,” director of the Airport Michał Kaczmarzyk told TVN.
“Thanks to this our airport has a chance to become the most important and largest in Central Europe,” he added.
“We have such ambitions.”
Besides a number of shops, restaurants and cafes, the revamped terminal boasts a viewing terrace from which arriving and departing planes can be watched.
The extension and renovation of the terminal cost PLN 400 million. (nh)
