IT centres, mainly in larger towns and cities, are creating strong demand for IT specialists in the country, a report cited in daily Rzeczpospolita says.

In recent years the rate of growth in the number of jobs created in such centres has accelerated twofold, the report notes.

This is the case in both less specialised and advanced areas of the IT sector, both domestic and foreign companies located in Poland.

The ABSL report highlights that strong competition for jobs in the larger IT centres has pushed some companies into smaller centres.

“In the last 12 months there has been a lot of interest shown in Bydgoszcz, Radom, Lublin and Szczecin,” said Marek Grodziński, deputy chief of ABSL and director of the BPO Capgemini. (jh)
