According to the PwC study, Poles spent over PLN 1.5 billion on computer games in 2014.

Two years ago, the figure was about USD 300 million (PLN 1.1 billion).

Meanwhile, it has been estimated that in five years time, Poles will be spending over PLN 2 billion per year.

Nevertheless, in spite of the increase, Poland is still spending less than many Western countries, although it is predicted that this will change.

Our market is beginning to change and mature,” commented Łukasz Misiurski, a board member of Poland's CI Games, in an interview with the Puls Biznesu daily.

Poland is a big country, there will be more and players, and their spending on games and equipment will grow.

We will certainly catch up with the richer countries, but it will probably not be a quick process.” (nh)
