Leasing market shows big rise in 2015

In the first quarter of the year it grew three percent and 22 percent in the second quarter, according to data published by the Polish Leasing Association (ZPL), which represents 90 percent of companies on the Polish market.

In the first six months of the year Polish businesses financed assets using leasing to a total value of almost PLN 24 billion (about 7 billion). That represents 83.8 percent of all assets, the next biggest chunk being movable assets financed using loans (16.4 percent).

Results from the first half of the year showed an increase in all reported groups on the market.

Passenger cars, vans and trucks up to 3.5 tons account for 36.8 percent, while investment, machinery and equipment (including IT) accounted for 33.4 percent, heavy transport 26.1 percent and real estate 3 percent. (jh)
