Companies established in the territory of the EU or European Free Trade Association members will be able to operate gambling services on the terms and conditions specified in the approved regulations.

"Under the present legislation the following activities: card games, dice games, gaming machines, cash bingo, betting and lottery audio texts can be carried out only in the form of a joint stock company or a limited liability company, established on Polish territory,” reads the President's Office release.

Poland had had a very restrictive set of rules for operating in the gaming and gambling industry, with restrictions on foreign entities entering the market. (jh)
