Seasonally-adjusted retail sales up 5.5 percent

Seasonally adjusted retail sales in Poland grew by 5.5 percent in annual terms in June.

On a monthly basis in June retail sales decreased by 1.4 percent, the EU statistical office Eurostat reported.
In the European Union as a whole, retail sales fell by 0.5 percent m/m and rose two percent y/y.
According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), retail sales in June rose by 3.8 percent y/y.
Retail sales grew 1.8 percent y/y in May, contrasting a 1.5 percent fall in April and slightly overshooting the 1.7 percent increase markets had expected. (jh)
