"Total level of the storage system on 25 August 2015 amounted to 2.5 billion cubic metres. Of this, 836 million cubic meters is the mandatory supply of natural gas at the disposal of the Economy Minister,” the company wrote in a statement.

PGNiG said it is stocking up supplies for the autumn-winter season, which sees a much greater demand for natural gas, and experiences a high volatility of the daily level of demand.

PGNiG has gas storage facilities in seven localities around Poland. (rg/rk)
