The president of the Gdańsk-based company, Marcin Moskalewicz, explained that the investment will be completed in December.

On Thursday, the site of the terminal was visited by Polish Treasury Minister Andrzej Czerwiński.

The minister told reporters he was surprised "by the value of the work" done. The head of the Treasury added that work on the terminal began in April 2014, and "its range is huge".

According to the company’s website, PERN “is a leader of petroleum logistics on the domestic market, and a strategic company which guarantees the energy security of Poland, and thus also that of the European Union, within the scope of crude oil supplies.” (rg/rk)
