This means that Polish exporters can earn up to EUR 25 billion next year.

The rate at which foreign sales of food are rising will decelerate slightly in 2016.

This year, food exports are expected to increase by 5-6.5 percent from EUR 21.9 billion in 2014, estimates BZ WBK, the Polish arm of Spain’s Santander group.

Despite a slight slowdown, the growth in food exports next year could see another record being broken.

The Polish government has intensified its efforts to diversify its food exports further afield after the EU’s trade embargo with Russia dented the industry. (rg/rk)
