Eurostat: Polish unemployment 7% in October

The seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate in Poland stood at seven percent in October, according to the EU’s statistics office, Eurostat.

In the previous month, the figure stood at 7.1 percent and 8.4 percent in the same period the previous year.
The number of unemployed in Poland amounted to 1.21 million in October, compared to 1.23 million in September.
The unemployment rate in the EU29 bloc stood at 9.3 percent.
The rate of joblessness in Poland dropped in October to 9.6 percent, in line with expectations, the Polish Central Statistical Office (GUS) said in late November. (rg/rk)
