Industrial production up 7.8 percent year-on-year

Industrial production rose in November by 7.8 percent compared with the same month a year ago, Poland's Central Statistical Office (GUS) has stated.

Production was however down 2.6 percent compared with October 2015.
“Industrial production moves in a rather predictable cycle, partly related to differences in the number of working days in each month,” commented Roman Przasnyski, chief analyst from Gerda Broker.
However, November's results surpassed expectations, as analysts had predicted a 5.7 percent annual rise.
Meanwhile, retail sales rose by 3.3 percent year-on-year, 0.8 percent up on October. (nh)
