Sławomir Majman, the head of PAIiIZ, said at a press conference that the agency helped conduct 56 investments this year, creating 9,098 jobs – which is 300 more than last year.

Majman also stressed that “this year, the quality of job on offer increased significantly.”

Most of the agency’s finalised projects were in the research and development (R&D) sector, but the most profitable investments, worth EUR 158 million, were made by the automotive industry.

“Poland is a very welcoming market for investors from [regions] which manage business in a modern way, like the US, Scandinavia and Asia,” Majman said.

However he pointed out that Polish investors are also a big part of the agency’s targets, and Poland is currently in fourth place on the list of PAIiIZ’s biggest investors in the country. (tf/rg)
