The two new members, Łukasz Hardt and Kamil Zubelewicz will replace Adam Glapiński and Andrzej Kaźmierczak.

The RPP is a part of the National Bank of Poland, and decides on interest rates in the country. The Council is chaired by the governor of the central bank, and includes nine members appointed in equal numbers by the country’s president, the lower house of parliament and the Senate.

RPP members are appointed for a six-year term. (rg/pk)
