Polish 2016 deficit should be below expectations: development minister

The budget deficit of Poland in 2016 will amount to less than the previously-assumed PLN 54 billion, Polish Development Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has said.

“This year should be a very safe one, and will result in a smaller deficit than the expected PLN 54 billion, I think,” Development Minister and deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki told the RMF FM radio channel.
This year’s budget, which was accepted by the Senate, foresees a deficit which will not exceed PLN 54.74 (EUR 12.49, USD 13.86) billion. (rg/pk)
