Unemployment in Poland falls

Unemployment in Poland fell to 8.8 percent in June, down 0.3 percentage points on May, and the best result since October 2008, Family and Labour Minister Elżbieta Rafalska has said.

"At the end of the year, the unemployment rate could reach 8.4 percent,” Rafalska told the PAP news agency.
She added: "Unemployment in June fell below 9 percent. We haven’t had such good result for eight years. This is great news that allows us to look with optimism to the future of the labor market in Poland." (pk)
