The plan, drafted by outgoing Finance Minister Paweł Szałamacha, foresees economic growth of 3.6 percent economic growth and a shortfall of 2.9 percent of GDP.

The draft still needs to be voted on by parliament.

Szydło said that the indicators of the draft budget for next year have not changed, and this year's budget results are very good.

She congratulated Szałamacha for doing a “great job” with the budget. She proceeded to announce that he will be replaced by Deputy PM and Development Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who will combine the roles. (rg)
