Wizz Air to launch seven new routes from Warsaw

Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air on Tuesday announced it will launch seven new routes from Warsaw next year.

The low-cost carrier will start flights from the Polish capital’s Chopin Airport to Bratislava, Bucharest and Lyon on 30 June.

On July 1, it plans to launch services to Kiev and Nice. A day later, flights will start to Lamezia Terme in southern Italy.

And from September 8, Wizz Air will start flying to Vilnius.

Wizz Air president Jozsef Varadi said in first nine months of 2016, the company has seen passenger numbers soar 17 percent. (pk)
