Company bosses have recommended a dividend of PLN 3 (EUR 0.7) per share from 2016 profits, also a record. PKN Orlen paid PLN 2 (EUR 0.5) per share as dividend from 2015 profits.

Wojciech Jasiński, the head of the company, said: “When we published the results of PKN Orlen a year ago, we were aware that improving on them, or even just maintaining these results, would be an extremely difficult task. Subsequent efforts… have resulted in a record net profit of PLN 5.4 billion.”

According to PKN Orlen, the current processing capacity of the group’s six refineries, located in Poland, the Czech Republic and Lithuania, is 35 million tons of crude oil a year. The company also owns almost 3,000 petrol stations across four countries. (sl/pk)
