The planes, leased by AerCap, are capable of carrying 186 passengers.

“The Boeing 737-800 NG is the largest narrow-body aircraft in the LOT fleet and will continue to operate on the most popular routes, to London, Paris, Tel Aviv, Frankfurt, Madrid, Barcelona and to the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana,” a LOT spokesman told the PAP news agency.

Last year LOT CEO Rafał Milczarski said that restocking LOT’s narrowbody fleet was the company's “greatest challenge”.

“Thanks to attractive lease terms for the four Boeings 737-800 NGs, we can quickly make up for time lost, increasing the number of flights on some of the most popular routes and launching new flights, such as to central Asia. Thanks to those aircraft we have such an opportunity,” Milczarski said.
