Meanwhile, 24 percent of employers plan to increase wages over the next six months, according to the survey of 1,000 employers conducted from 10 April to 9 May.
Grzegorz Baczewski, an expert from the Lewiatan Employers’ Confederation, said that employers are reluctant to pay more because of a minimum wage hike, but will be forced to do so because of a labour shortage.
Baczewski said raises of more than five percent can be expected in the hi-tech, manufacturing, logistics and construction sectors. (vb/pk)
