Misiąg spent more than a year working with programmers to come up with Karma Clutch, an app for people to find their lost valuables, such as keys, phones, wallets and even pets, which is set to launch next month.

It provides users with a special code to stick to their wallet or key chain, for instance, which finders can use to contact the owner in order to return the lost property. It allows losers to meet finders, or remain anonymous, and allows for rewards for the Good Samaritans.

World renowned bike, eyewear, and phone manufacturers are lining up to get involved with the start-up, which has called itself a "digital return-reward system".

British billionaire Richard Branson, the name behind the Virgin franchise, has expressed his support for the project, which aims to generate good karma, and said that Misiąg deserves a prize.

The Polish-American team behind Karma Clutch earlier worked on an app to catch paedophiles. (vb)
