Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister to meet with investors in US

The Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is travelling to the United States on Thursday, where he will hold talks with investors and entrepreneurs.

The official is to convene with global finance ministers and central bankers at the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund in Washington. There Morawiecki is to hold talks with World Bank President Jim Yong Kim, among other high-profile attendees.

A host of business meetings is also on the agenda of Morawiecki’s visit to the US. Ahead of the trip, the Polish Finance Minister said he hoped to seal a major investment deal there but would not disclose the details of the undertaking.

Morawiecki is also to meet the Polish community in Chicago.

The Deputy Prime Minister will wind up his overseas visit on Saturday, 14 October. (aba)
