PGNiG official Maciej Woźniak said the deal was key to the Polish company's plans to boost competitiveness in Ukraine.

The deal will allow PGNiG need-based flexible use of the underground storage.

Earlier this month, the companies signed a deal to allow PGNiG to use Ukraine's gas transit network, while earlier still, PGNiG, partnered with Ukraine's private gas trader ERU Trading, signed a deal for the supply of gas to Ukraine. (vb/pk)
