Unemployment falls again in Poland

Registered unemployment in Poland fell to a new low of 6.6% in October, the country’s labour ministry said on Wednesday.

Joblessness was 0.2 percentage points down on September.
Unemployment in October 2016 stood at 8.2%.
Family, Labour and Social Policy Minister Elżbieta Rafalska said there were 1.07 million unemployed in Poland at the end of last month.
Compared with the end of September the number of those without jobs fell by 46,000 and by almost 237,000 from September last year.
Rafalska said she hoped that next year the number of unemployed would fall below one million.
