In an October forecast, Fitch predicted the Polish economy would grow 4.0% this year.

The agency also revised upwards its GDP growth forecast for Poland in 2018 to 3.6% from 3.2%.

Its projection for 2019 stays unchanged at 3.2%.

In July Fitch decided to keep Poland's A- rating and stable outlook unchanged.

In its report released on Monday, the agency said that an acceleration in Poland’s economic growth from 2.9% in 2016 mainly reflects an increase in the use of EU funds and the impact of this on government investments.
