According to a study by Millennium Bank, Poles will spend some PLN 22 billion (EUR 5.24 bn) this holiday season, over 9 percent more than a year earlier.
A Retail Institute study showed that 3.8 million people visited 100 selected shopping centres nationwide last weekend, which is 10 percent more than in the same period in 2016.
A KPMG survey found that nearly 90 percent of consumers opt for bargain shopping during post-Christmas sales. Almost half the respondents delay their shopping sprees until then.
A third of those questioned intend to spend at least PLN 300 during post-Christmas sales. (aba/gs)
